twig mini caramel apples

So I was in the mood to make some kind of fall treat for a group of our friends. Where we live there are a couple of wild apple trees so I thought maybe mini caramel apples would be fun. No one can ever finishes a whole caramel apple anyway. I didn’t have any sticks to put in the apples so when my husband was picking the apples I picked up a couple of apple branches from the ground and cut them into small sticks. I soaked and scrubbed the sticks to make sure they would be clean enough to use. I also cut the ends at an angle to make them sharp. Then in between naps and poopy diapers I managed to stick the apples, make the caramel and dip them. My favorite thing was that a lot of the apples still had there leaves on them.

Toffee!! Really easy to make

Ingredients:

25 gr of butter

150 gr of sugar

250 ml of cream

75 ml of molasses

Boil all ingredients in a pot and continuously remove. To check if the toffee is done, put a few drops of the mixture into a glass with cold water. If  drops are consistent and can be caught with your fingers is that it is ready. Put in a silicone mold or make your own mold with aluminum foil. It must result in a rigid rectangular plate of toffee. To speed up the process we can put it in the fridge for a while. Cut into squares and wrap in cellophane.

Lemon Scrub | Momtastic

These lemon sugar scrub containers look so delicious that I would have to make sure that it was swiftly moved to the bathroom so that it doesn’t accidentally get spread on toast. Though if you didn’t add the liquid soap you probably could put it on soap… wait, no, don’t do that! I love to use body scrub - it makes your skin so clean and fresh, just make sure you moisturise afterwards!
